Encaustic art is created with hot melted beeswax, damar resin, and pigments, and is fused with fire or high heat. The basic techniques have been around for thousands of years and there are many examples that have survived the ages. Resurgence of this ancient art made modern often incorporates mixed media producing wonderful and magical results.
